Dr. Parscal comes to CCCOnline from the University of the Rockies (UOR) where she has served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer since 2010.
Prior to this, Tina was the Faculty/Program Director for Education and Professional Studies at Colorado State University – Global Campus. Prior to CSU-GC, she was an Associate Professor and Assistant Director of Distance Learning at Regis University.
Dr. Parscal has a PhD in Education from Capella University; Masters of Social Science from the University of Colorado, Denver; and a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Regis University.
Tina brings a breadth of experience with many initiatives that are a priority to CCCOnline including Quality Matters, course development and redesign, Open Education Resources, assessing instructional outcomes and the student learning experience. Under her guidance, UOR received a Quality Matters “Making a Difference for Students” award.
Throughout her career she has had a focus on innovation in instructional technology and online learning, student services and support, faculty development and teaching excellence. Over her career she has led a number of collaborative efforts including HLC re-accreditation, establishing a Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence and initiatives focused on student success and quality online course development at scale.
She was honored as a “2014 Women Worth Watching” by Profiles in Diversity Magazine for her leadership in creating an inclusive learning environment.
Tina has published and presented in the areas of educational leadership, instructional design, online learning, emerging instructional technology, assessment, and cognitive apprenticeship strategies as well as served as the Executive Editor of an award-winning peer-reviewed journal.
Tina and her husband live in Highlands Ranch. They are wine enthusiasts who love travel and photography.
